Day 143: OuiShare Fest

This week I went to the OuiShare Fest, for the first time. I really liked it, even though it in many respects was very different from other conferences I've been to. There were lots of interesting entrepreneurs, innovators and activists there. And a very positive atmosphere. It was really inspiring to see so many people engaged in the sharing economy. And I like the constructive approach; people who do stuff.

Should I wish for something from a political perspective it would be that more people with this grassroot/creative/free spirit mindset would realize how liberalism (and market economy) is a great framework for these ideas. It's all about individual freedom and to give people the opportunity to create things. By themselves or together with other people. And that some of my pro-market friends would be more interested in other aspects of freedom except for the political and economic ones. I think most of them would sneer at a seminar about hypergender - but why? Again, isn't the core value here individual freedom, including the opportunity to explore and express different aspects of your personality?
