Day 156: An alternative to the subway

Tonight I was in Stockholm and tried the new service Heetch for the first time. It has some similarities to Uber Pop. The drivers don't have a taxi license, and uses ordinary cars. But there's a limit on how much money they can earn each year.

It's a French company and it was launched in Stockholm a couple of weeks ago. I tried it a few times tonight. It was the same driver each time. (There only seemed to be three-five Heetch cars in Stockholm tonight, according to the app) He told me he was driving mostly to do something different and meet people. As a change from his regular office job.

Which makes sense considering how cheap the rides were. I don't really know how much cheaper than a regular taxi, but I'd say a lot. With two or three people in the car it seemed like it would be the same price as public transportation.
