About living one year in the sharing economy…

Day 235: Why a virtual nation?

In the last episode of the Sound of Sharing I talk to Susanne Tarkowski, founder of Bitnation, a virtual nation, based on the blockchain. I also asked Robin Teigland, professor in business administration at the Stockholm School of Economics, to explain blockchain to me. It is complicated, and I'm not sure I fully understood the concept. Luckily that's not necessary to useapplications based on the blockchain, and it seems we will see more of them in the future. We also talked about crowdfunding, peer-to-peer loans and other types of financial sharing services.
